The Danish Parliament passes dual citizenship bill.
On December 18, 2014, the Danish Parliament agreed to implement dual citizenship. The law enters into force on the 1st of September 2015 - until then the current law is still in effect. You can read more about the new law on the Danish Ministry of Justice's homepage (only in Danish).
Retention of Danish nationality - change concerning time of submission of application.
Due to the fact that the processing time of the Nationality Division of the Danish Ministry of Justice in cases concerning retention of Danish nationality currently is 14 to 16 months, the Ministry of Justice has informed that applications should be submitted between the age of 20 and 21 years. This change is indicated on the website of the Ministry of Justice.
